The city issued the following press release:
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – The City of Deerfield Beach is excited to announce that the DFB Reef will begin construction on Monday, August 12, 2019. This Artificial Reef will consist of three limestone clusters placed in approximately six to ten feet of water located just south of the main beach parking lot.
Construction will utilize the use of a large barge and crane to place the reef materials in their State approved locations. Construction is anticipated to last approximately six weeks.
