There is always a new restaurant opening in the Pompano Beach-Deerfield Beach-Lighthouse Point area. We aim to keep you informed on the latest openings so tourists and locals alike know where to go when the family cook doesn’t feel like going to Publix. Here are a few recently-opened eateries for you to check out.

Duval & Bourbon
Located in Deerfield Beach’s unique Cove Shopping Center, this new high-end, but casual, restaurant is a unique option when you’re in the mood for something a little off the beaten path. The chef and owner locally sources his ingredients to make creative dishes inspired by New Orleans and the Florida Keys. If all you want is a drink, you can try one of their signature cocktails or local beers at the bar. They’re also vegan-friendly.

Fork Italia
Fork Italia is a cozy new Italian restaurant in Deerfield Beach. If you want fresh pasta made to order, this small red-brick joint takes pride in their efforts to satisfy your craving for fresh Italian cuisine. Whether you want a personal pizza or handmade noodles, Fork Italia offers a smorgasbord of homemade food and wine to cater to your Italian needs. If you want to feel like Nona is in the kitchen making a casual Sunday dinner, this place is worth checking out.

BHW Chicken and Seafood
After making their mark as a traveling food truck, BHW’s owners have anchored their talents in Pompano Beach. They offer a plethora of seafood and a variety of sides to build your own personalized basket with. They also offer a range of homemade sauces. So, if you’re the type of person that likes to burn their taste buds into oblivion, BHW’s “Hell Hot” sauce is worth trying.

Broad Street Deli
This brand new restaurant is located in the Harbor Village Shopping Center, which is becoming a regular hub for dining with close to ten restaurants to choose from. This deli boasts it is “the home of the two pound sandwich” and Jewish style favorites including knishes, lox. matzoh brie, challah french toast and bagels. They are open for breakfast and lunch from 8:30 AM until 4 PM Monday through Saturday.

Located near the Deerfield Pier, this sandwich shop practically on the beach is expected to open in June.

The Hen and the Hog
The former site of Giovanni Italian restaurant and pizzeria is scheduled to re-open on June 10th. They will serve breakfast and lunch 7-days a week to start things off.
